Gerry is an Operating Partner at Harkness Capital, where he focuses on specialty rental services, including new investment origination and diligence, thesis development, and building Harkness growth action plans.

He has served as Lead Director at CPE since August 2022, where he leads the Harkness team and board in refining corporate growth strategy, supporting management on planning, and scaling the CPE platform, new branch expansion, recruiting new senior managers, and helping the team with annual budgeting, and fleet management.

Gerry has over 30 years executive management experience in rental and infrastructure services industries. From 2013 to 2020 Gerry was the CEO of Cross Country Infrastructure Services, a specialty rental business, including specialty pumps and pipeline equipment.

Gerry was the President of Hertz Equipment Rental Corporation (HERC), and served in various leadership roles over a 20+ year tenure. During Gerry’s tenure, rental revenues grew to over $2 billion and grew specialty rental to over $500 million.

Gerry is a graduate of Seton Hall University, with a B.S. in Business Administration (Accounting), and completed graduate studies at Pace University (Finance).
